MT-BLANC

The Mt-Blanc, Mt-Craggy and Mt-Pointu sector of the Chics-Chocs is undeniably an extraordinary backcountry skiing area that offers multiple itineraries over many different slopes that will satisfy both novice and expert skiers and snowboarders.  The terrain is mainly mature forests with natural gullies where the space between trees is often optimal for fluent riding and snow accumulation.  This type of terrain which is perfectly adapted to backcountry skiing is unique in Eastern North America.

Mt-Blanc is renowned for offering amazing skiing on all faces.  To the west stands an incredible alpine bowl with many finger like runs called the AERODIUM.  Skiers left of the aerodium is our most longuest, largest natural glade run, best known as the ORGASMOTRON.  Large open alpine fields are to be found on the east face and provide thrilling sensations to riders that seek big open alpine turns.  Finally the North-West face offers amazing natural glades and guaranteed fresh snow, with a 10 minute ski out to the yurt.

The diversity of this ski area is such that a typical 4 day ski trip will provide different objectives each day without ever skiing the same line twice.  In fact, Vertigo’s team has been exploring these mountains since 2005 and has been naming new runs every year.  The presence of trees on most steep slopes contributes to reduce avalanche risk.
