Discover an infinity of glade runs and thrilling alpine fields in the Matane Faunal Reserve, the western limit of the Chics-Chocs mountains. Rest assured that your decisions are safe and that you are skiing the best the mountains can provide with an experienced guide. Our guided trips are a minimum of 3 ski days and for groups made of 3 to 10 beginner to expert backcountry skiers or riders.
A 1h15 snowmobile approach is necessary to reach the base camp established by Vertigo. Our camp is made of a communal yurt which holds all the necessary cooking gear and of 2 sleeping units built on wooden floors.
GEAR
Every participant must provide his backcountry ski gear which must hold; skis or splitboard, skins, boots, poles, helmet, gogles, backpack, water bottle, beacon, shovel and probe. Also, participants must provide their sleeping bag, pillow, camp shoes and camp clothes (rental gear is available). Check out our complete gear list
Participants are responsible for their food and drinks. Note that all necessary cooking gear is available at the camp. Drinking water is taken from a natural spring 200 m uphill from the camp. Clients are free to treat the water if desired.
